Working for Nanaimo and North Cowichan.
Doug Routley knows our island communities are great places to live. And he has dedicated his career to making them better.
Elected four times as an MLA, Doug has stood up for our housing, healthcare, and seniors’ care, for forestry and our local mid-island economy. He has fought for our kids’ schools, drawing on his previous experience as a school trustee.
Before joining the BC legislature, Doug worked as a sawmill worker, treeplanter, business owner, school custodian, and school trustee. His diverse work experience gives him insight into the unique challenges and opportunities of life in Nanaimo-North Cowichan, along with a very close and practical grasp of what’s important to the people who live here.
Doug stands with David Eby and the BC NDP because it’s time for a better BC — with great schools, reliable healthcare, good jobs, and a clean environment.
Doug understands that it’s an MLA’s job to make your life better. He and David Eby are on your side.
